Ada County homeowners to see substantial savings on property tax bills this year

Ada County property owners will see savings and credits on this year's property tax bills.

Most of the savings will go to owner-occupied homes and could mean paying hundreds of dollars less.

County officials said the state legislature helped lower property tax bills across the state.

"Property owners in Ada County and around the state asked the legislature to provide relief from rising property taxes at a time when inflation keeps cutting into everyone's savings and discretionary spending," said Ada County Commissioner Tom Dayley.

The Ada County Treasurer's Office will send out the bills, which will show the calculated savings, by the 27th.
